Transgender Lives - A Panel Discussion

Led by Lisa Forest, the Coordinator of the Bridgewater State College GLBTA Pride Center, Megan Ladd, Senior Applications Developer at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and Chase Catalano, a doctoral student in Social Justice Education at UMASS Amherst, the group engaged in discussion focusing on definitions, sexual orientation, and gender identity disorder. Each presenter also shared their personal story, providing a real face to issues our transgender students may be experiencing. The session closed with a discussion of what we can do to support transgender students.
Participant comments included: “I had a great time & found it worth my time”; Great presenters with a good sense of humor and a different perspective”; and “Personal stories were so interesting and compelling”.
